Attention Jio Users, you may won't have to pay more...

Jio this week has announced that voice calls on Jio will not be free any longer because the carrier has determined to charge its subscribers for outgoing calls to alternative networks. This decision has been taken after a debate with other operators and the TRAI. All Jio users will be charged 6 paise per minute for making an outgoing calls to BSNL, Airtel, Idea and Vodafone. Now this states that all Jio users have to recharge their talktime balance for making calls to other telecom users just like the old days.

But Jio has also added that if the users have done their recharge before october 9 they won't be charged for the outgoing calls to other network till the recharge expires, So if you have recharged you don't have to worry about the minutes your'e talking to other telecom users.

For those who haven't done their recharge we have included the 4 Jio IUC plans. These 4  plans will provide talktime to the users for creating calls to other  networks. These are the 4 plans currently available as recharge for making calls to other network. Jio has also compensated their users with additional data for the extra talktime they have to purchase inorder to make a call to other network.

Plan 1 - 10 RS - 124 Minutes - Extra 1 GB Data

Plan 2 - 20 RS - 249 Minutes - Extra 2 GB Data

Plan 3 - 50 RS - 656 Minutes - Extra 5 GB Data

Plan 4 - 100 RS - 1362 Minutes - Extra 10 GB Data

Jio has also added that TRAI has decided to lower the 6 paise per minute rate to 0 after January 1 2020. But the public outcry has started already saying boycott jio. what's your opinion about it would you change your network or remain as a jio user.
